We submitted a proposal for the commissioned business ”Feasibility Studies on Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) Projects towards Environmentally Sustainable Cities in Asia in 2015” with Nippon Koei Co., Ltd. as the principal proposer, and Kawasaki city, EBARA CORPORATION, EBARA REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT & SYSTEMS CO., LTD. etc. as joint proposers, and have been officially appointed as of August 7, 2015.

Japan organizes and conducts Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) in order to quantitatively evaluate the contribution by Japan to the reduction and absorption of greenhouse gas emission, through providing splendid low carbon technologies, products, systems, services, infrastructures, etc., and taking measures to realize them, then in order to utilize the evaluation so that Japan will also be able to achieve the reduction goal. This business is held by municipalities in Japan which is knowledgeable for the formation of a low carbon society. Aiming to gain JCM credit, they try to organize an “entire” low carbon city, based on cooperation between cities, through comprehensive development and continuous project forming, which will enable energy origin CO2 emissions reduction in various fields in affiliated cities and regions. These municipalities will work together with research organizations, private companies, universities, etc. in Japan, and work as a coordinator to introduce advanced low carbon technologies and systems, according to the actual condition in the local areas, and investigate and study on this matter taking into consideration of the establishment of structure, and its operation and maintenance.
